Ribet Myles crowned winner at the Lexis Nexis Family Law Awards
Celebrations are in order this week after we won the Financial Remedies Team of the Year category at the prestigious Family Law Awards hosted by Lexis Nexis.
The Family Law Awards brings the community together for its biggest night of the year, celebrating excellence, networking and recognising its vital contribution to society. Now in its twelfth year, the awards were launched in 2011 to spotlight the important work of family lawyers and celebrate the many talents across the industry.
The Financial Remedies Team category focuses on and celebrates expertise in dealing with complicated financial cases – a line of work that Ribet Myles is particularly passionate about.
The firm’s financial remedies work is extensive and includes:
· Litigating financial remedies disputes
· Unravelling complicated financial issues
· Identifying, tracing and recovering assets
· Dealing with significant inherited wealth
· Managing cases with complex issues concerning valuable business assets
· Disputes with an international dimension
· Offshore trusts
· Tax issues
· Pensions and pension sharing
· Pre-nuptial agreements
· Post-nuptial agreements
The awards’ judges were carefully selected based on their considerable experience and expertise in relation to their awards category. They included several leading figures from the legal profession and beyond who were chosen to participate in the LexisNexis event. The panel comprised the heads of the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, along with Family Law editors and publishing executives.
And it’s not just one new gong on display in the office. Dom Christophers was also crowned Young Family Solicitor of the Year – a fantastic result, having only joined the firm earlier this year.
Julian Ribet commented on the win: “We’re honoured to have been recognised as The Financial Remedies Team of the Year by our peers and other experts in the family law profession. Ensuring that our client’s financial positions are protected throughout the divorce process remains a crucial focus for the whole team and often involves highly complex and unusual circumstances.
“It’s wonderful that such notable individuals within the industry have recognised this expertise, and the win is a true testament to the team’s ongoing hard work and dedication. I want to thank all our employees and congratulate Dom on his win. He’s a highly talented lawyer, and I’ve no doubt that this will be the first of many recognitions throughout a long, successful career in family law.
